Expand Your Free Key word Search List by Looking at Competition
Go to the Google Free Key word Search Engine. Type in your potential keyword and Google the query. Look at the top five sites listed on the Google keyword search page. (make sure they are not ads). Click into the top sites and look at the competition’s page titles for possible new keywords to run through the AdWords Google Free Key word Search Tool.
Free Key word Search Tool From Google
Coming up we have pages in our blog to help with the different key word search tools. One of course is the Google AdWords Tool. To learn how to use this free key word search tool go to Keyword Tools – Proper Use. Here we discuss how to use this tool to your advantage.
Remember you must use more than one key word search tool. Keyword Optimizer Pro, Keyword Elite and Traffic Travis are my favorite tools to use everyday.
Developing Your Google Keyword List of Exact Targeted Google Keywords
Once you have a seed list started, your next goal will be to expand and gather terms of “exact” Google free keyword research phrases for your list. Each phrase needs to have Google keyword search volume and be at least three words long. (long term) These exact, global or local monthly Google search volume keyword phrases are what we refer to as “exact targeted Google keywords.” In an ideal Adsense World the search volume would be a minimum of 18,000 combined “exact” global Google keyword search volume per month. This is for the combined volume of your primary keyword phrase and two secondary keywords. Now not all Google free key word search terms are going to generate that volume, depending on your niche or micro niche but put them on your list anyway. You can also run these smaller volume keywords though the different free key word search tools to see what they offer. When developing your pages and posts, you will need to use up to three different but related keywords in your text per page. The Google keyword search engine will use your primary keyword but will also use the secondary keywords to rank your page.
Your long-term goal is to have each of your pages and important posts ranking for themselves. This is like having added user doors for the net. They give you added traffic exposure on the search engines. To do this you must do an effective Google free key word search. You need to check out a lot of keywords on the search tool and fill out your Google free key word search list.
Coming up in a later post about using Traffic Travis, we will discuss how to determine the competition’s SEO strength for your top free key word search terms.
When it comes to article marketing, they are a great way to connect with other people, and also an effective way of “warming up” your reader before they visit your actually site. While reading your article for marketing purposes, readers build a relationship with the writer, and are more inclined to click-thru to the writer’s site if they enjoy what they read. That is why you always need to read any article you put out there that is linked to your site.
You are being judged on that marketing article.
When a reader lands on your site from a external link, they are considered a “warm” prospect. The reader already feels they know you a little bit and are interested in what you are writing about – this should hopefully translate into more sales!
Article Marketing Program
If you actively get into developing a article marketing program, then you will have a lot of your articles available on the internet. Let’s say for example, if your niche is article marketing, and you have written a whole range of articles on this subject, then people will start to see you as that “authority figure.”
Internet users like to buy from authority figures because they believe they are people that have knowledge and offer useful solutions for them.
Your article marketing is 100% free, it can take some time but should not cost you penny. This is why seasoned marketers choose it as their main venue for traffic generation.
Basically your article marketing should work this way:
You should write an article with minimum of 400-500 words.
Submit it to article directories who will host the article for you.
Your goal is that other sites will grab your article and publish it on their site.
Place at the bottom of your article a “bio box”, which is essentially your personal ad and includes a link to your site.
A reader comes along, reads your article and gets value from it. They click-thru to your site and you hopefully make money.
Article Marketing Strategies
When it comes to article marketing there are two thought patterns. When article marketing, you need to try and get as many readers as possible to click-thru your article to your site. This will have to do with the traffic power of the sited you posted your article on for marketing.
Or the other thought is, you want your article to rank high in the search engines for a primary keyword which will get you consistent traffic to your site. This takes good keyword and on-page optimization as part of your article marketing program.
Hello, I want to share with you a video from Karon Thackston about the subject “if she started over building sites what would she do differently”. I listened to the video and I completely agree with her. She talks about the heart beat of site building.
For over 25 years, web & SEO copywriter Karon Thackston has created optimized copy and content that has increased conversions & search rankings. See recent newsletter on what she would do if she started over building sites.
So What Would She Do Differently If She Started Over Building Sites?
I was recently interviewed about what I would do differently if I were to start all over again with my business today. One thing leaped to mind immediately and it’s probably not what you’d think.
Whether you’re just starting out or have been in business for years, but need a new push to keep going, I hope you’ll find these insights helpful.
Karon highlights the facts that you must be willing to put time, effort and money into your business to make it on the net today. It took many of us time to figure out that you can not just rely on free tools. What she is saying in the video, if she started over building sites, she would put money into her business sooner. See, many of us found out most free tools are just not designed to give you all the needed information to fulfill your site needs. They are just there to wet your appetite and get you comfortable. I agree with Karon that you need to put money into keyword research and web content. If you don’t put some money into your tools you will find yourself like Karon and wondering if you should start over building sites.
We have found that Google wants the quality websites to survive. So, you need develop a good, basic website structure of a website that Google likes. Develop a Silo Structure of a website that is designed to keep everything categorized. You never want the search engines or your users to be confused. Keep your silo structure of a website and internal linking simple. You will have a better chance to pass the Google’s test. Then once you pass, it rises you to the top relatively quickly especially for future long-tail search terms.
Silo Structure of a Website Navigational Flow
Use the Google keyword phrase that you identified earlier during your initial Google keywords research, to make some decisions on the ideal structure of your website and the navigational flow. Your primary keywords will be used for you category pages and the other exact match Google keywords with the “Relatively Easy” rating become your page titles.
When planning the flow of a site, the first thing is to categorize keywords or your page titles into logical, relevant areas. Basically you need to build a flow chart on paper starting with your static home/index page with your primary keyword at the top. Your static home page should connect to your category website content pages below through links in your articles and your page menu. Your other content posts will be written around your medium volume secondary keywords. A announcement post is then written for each page as support using your lower volume related keywords. Recommend you look into Siloed Structure of a website before you build your site.
Internal Site Structure of a Website Can Improve Google Success Ranking
The site structure of a website should not be loaded down with advertising. I like to wait until Google indexes the site and it starts moving up. I have found it does no good to load down your site structure with ads until your website gets to the first page of Google. If you think about it, traffic comes with being on the first page, so without traffic why would you want to load down your site with ads? Plan your future ads as you go. Can always add ads to the site structure of a website at a later date.
Site structure of a website should have web content of value above the fold, not advertisements.
Each page and post of website content should be very different, not just another variation of the same keyword. The keyword phrases should be able to rank on their own.
Start to use keywords early and often but naturally in your website content writing and titles.
Google Adverting Note: If you are a Adsense publisher, Adsense Google wants you to load your page with ads, Panda and Penguin do not like that! The Adsense team and the Panda / Penguin team seem to have a communication problem. Even the team at Adsense is confused about the Panda / Penguin. Leave it to Google to be so secretive they don’t even tell each others what departments are up to. If you add Adsense ads do so slowly after you are ranking and monitor your page location.
Using Your “Relatively Easy” Keyword Rating For Your Structure of a Website
Group your keywords by similar words in the phrase. I.e. Primary keyword which is “website content” with a search volume of 1,000 and the secondary keyword is ”website content writer” with a search volume of 880 and the keyword is “write website content” with a search volume of 320. Your primary keyword has to have good keyword density but also include your secondary keywords for that article in your web content. Then write secondary keyword articles as support for the primary keyword page. You could rank for all three.
We all know that for your site to rank and earn well you need to create unique content and add these unique articles on a steady bases.
A big problem with having a writer create unique content is that it can be expensive. Even if you create the unique content yourself it takes your time and effort and what is that worth.
I have found that many writers can write with great grammar, but I have found that there are few writers who are actually good at doing the research required to create unique content for a article.
Below is a link to a newsletter by Mark Ling on how to create unique content.
Enjoy the newsletter…..leave us a comment ………thanks for stopping, John
I enjoy Mark’s newsletter and what to thank him for this effort on a problem we all have ….how to create unique content to keep our sites fresh. I use these writers along with creating unique articles myself. I have a rule: I make sure I read over any article I am going to publish, to make sure it flows and make sense. When I create unique content, I also make sure I optimize the article.
Either you are creating a website or you have one that is not performing as well as you wished. Does this describe your site? You need to have key elements for a great website that work well with visitors and search engines as well.
A mistake website marketers make is to develop a site that is about what they want rather than catering to what their visitors need. So start out by putting yourself in your potential customer’s shoes. Are you providing them with all of the information they need to make a comfortable decision to buy your products or services?
Some Of the Important Elements for a Great Website
Post Your Price
Don’t be afraid to list your price because you are afraid your competitors will find out how much you charge customers. If competitors are really interested in what you charge, they would just ask you.
Your prices may be higher than other competitors. If so, you need to explain why your products and/or services cost as much as they do. Make sure you explain the added value that you are offering and make sure you have exceptional customer service.
Many customers don’t rely only on price as long as they know they are getting a quality product backed up by a money-back guarantee and great customer service. Sometimes having the cheapest price can actually work against you, as people might wonder about your expertise or the quality of your products. Remember, when people are done researching and ready to buy online, they want all the information, like price, right there. If they don’t find it, they click off and go somewhere else.
Develop Social Media Interaction
In the past, social media such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube were not one of the key elements for a great website or affected your website ranking in search engines. But that was then and this is now. Search engines are paying closer attention to the elements for a great website and how much customers interact with your social media networks. The more visitors, who make a comment, click a “like”, share or respond to your posts the better for your ranking.
In today’s market, people visit websites and simply skim through the information, instead of reading word for word. Visitors are at your website looking for answers to questions, so make it easy for them. Major elements for a great website are visitor comments and a list of frequently asked questions. Make sure you answer the questions that will allow them to make an informed decision to buy your products and services.
An Important Element for Your Website is Credibility
Proving and proving your credibility online should be your top priority because many customers are cautious when it comes to dealing with online businesses. Credibility and trust are important elements for a great website. Some good ways to show your visitors you are reliable and trustworthy include:
• Testimonials and comments from happy customers;
• Examples of problems your product/service has solved;
• Any awards your business has received;
• Money-back guarantee, the longer the better;
• Your memberships to reputable associations;
• Details of media appearances or articles on radio, print, online, etc.
Keywords Research and Proper Use
This is one area that is mainly for the search engines. Make sure you research keywords and keyword phrases people might be using to find your business and then use them in your website correctly:
• Title (SEO title tag);
• Headings( H1, H2, H3);
• Copy (Web Content);
• Page URL (Website address);
• Alt tags (image tags);
• Navigation bar (Menu);
• Meta description (creative description);
Even if you are not sure or familiar with some of these items — click the links provide for more info — include them in all of the important PAGES as key elements for a great website.
There are many tools that can help you research keywords. Some of these include: Google Keyword Search Tool, Wordtracker or Webfire.
Blogs for a Great Website
Having a blog still is an important tool that is used by website marketers. They are considered powerful elements for a great website because they allow you to easily post news, any specials, tips, thoughts and tricks for your business niche. If you install the blog as part of your website, it allows you to offer fresh content and customer interaction, which search engines look for as elements for a great website. Some of my clients have their blogs hosted externally, which they use to establish backlinks to the main site. The main players for external blogs are Blogger.com and WordPress.
You don’t need an expensive web developer to set up a simple blog for you. Both Blogger and WordPress have easy step-by-step instructions, to take you through the set-up process. There is also plenty of online help with YouTube videos that show you how to make the most of blogging.
Contact Page Details
Other elements for a great website is available customer contact. Be sure to include your contact details in as many places on your website as possible. Many visitors will arrive at your website via your homepage, so have your information there. At the bottom of each page that is linked to a special “Contact Us” page.
A contact area should have your phone number, fax number, street address, postal address, e-mail address, contact form, Skype name, social networks and any other way, you want your customers to get in touch with you. Creditably is one of the most important elements for a great website. You want to make it easy for your customer to communicate with you.
Creating a great site does not need to be a difficult experience if you do some research and know what your potential customers are looking for. Spend some time on forums and use your keyword research to find out their needs. Once you a good idea of what they are looking for, it’s a matter of providing it to them and making sure you have all the elements for a great website.
Start out simple with a smaller niche. As your traffic grows tweak and add to your website content making sure you have maintained the key elements for a great website.
I am not a big fan of Google Adwords, MSN Adcenter or paid search marketing. Now, this does not mean I haven’t used paid search marketing. I use and develop Google Adwords and Adsense campaigns for my clients sites. I like to build what I call goodwill traffic while we are building organic traffic. Clients like to see action and that is what paid Google search can provide. Plus we test keywords for user reaction.
Paid Search Marketing
I use paid Google search marketing a little different for my personal sites. I set up some paid search marketing after I have my site up and ready for traffic. I like my site to be indexed and ranking on the first few pages of Google. I turn it on and off to bring me spurts of traffic while I continue working on my free organic traffic. Also I use it for testing new keywords and titles.
No matter how you use paid search you must understand it. It has a language all it’s own. An associate of ours, Yada Yada Marketing has some great tutorials to help out here.

Using your primary keywords in title tag should be part of your search engine optimization (SEO) strategy. Writing attention seeking, interesting title tags involves the use of your keywords along with imagination and creativity. The trick is to skillfully place your keywords in title tag. You don’t need to be Wonder Woman to influence people into clicking your site but you need to grab their attention. These days, I know of software that is available that generate titles with your keywords in title tag. Using your primary keyword in titles makes the best title tag and are bound to make people click. You can enter subjects or your keywords to generate the best title tag related to them. So, if you absolutely can not generating what you consider the best title tag, it is no big problem. Sorry, I can not recommend a title tag software at this time because at this time I prefer to write my own. Google it and see what comes up. Just make sure you use keywords in title tag.

Let’s look at how to optimize your meta description. Your optimized meta description is used by search engines to show a snippet or description when a search is preformed. We have all seen the description as it is the black text shown beneath the URL. When you optimize your meta description it must contain the keywords that the searcher was searching for. But there is no way you can optimize your meta description for all the keywords a searcher may use. So you need to use the primary keywords you used in the content when you optimize your meta description.
Some SEO plugins, most specifically the All in One SEO plugin by Yoast that we recommend , use “automated descriptions”. Normally this is the first sentence of a post and fills the meta description by default. On some pages that may not be very smart. Because the first sentence might be an introductory sentence which has hardly anything to do with the true subject. Make sure you read all your meta descriptions for proper optimizing and relevancy.
Best Meta Description
So, a well written meta description is usually a hand written one. If you’re thinking of letting your SEO plugin auto optimize your meta description, I suggest you do not do this and let the search engine actually control the snippet. If you don’t use the auto meta description, the search engine will find the primary keyword searched for by user in your document, and automatically pick a content string around that. This usually gives you a bolded word or two on the results page, meaning that the search engine has optimized your meta description.
The best technique is to use the meta description field you find in your WordPress SEO plugin to write and optimize your meta description. Read it. Make sure it is interesting and entices the reader to click through. It must contain the focused keyword of your post or page at least once. If I can fit a secondary keyword into my optimized meta description I do it.

In the last newsletter we looked at alternative sources for paid traffic for your website. But today we are going ‘back to basics’ and looking at a simple way to improve your website for both human readers and search engines.
By creating an optimized sitemap, visitors who are after a certain page on your website will have an easier time. But maybe more importantly, search engines will also be able to see all the pages on your site (that you want them to), which will increase the likelihood of those pages being indexed.
Today we’ll look at:
Creating a sitemap for human visitors. Creating a sitemap for human visitors to your site is the easiest part of the process.
Creating an XML sitemap for search engines using automated tools. Thankfully, there are tools available to help you build your sitemap efficiently and quickly.
Uploading your XML sitemap to your website. In that case you may have to upload your XML file via FTP
Submitting your sitemap to search engines. Once you have created and uploaded your sitemap, you will need to submit it to the search engines.
A sitemap is an easy way for webmasters to inform search engines about pages on their sites that are available for crawling. In its simplest form, a Sitemap is an XML file that lists URLs for a site along with additional metadata about each URL (when it was last updated, how often it usually changes, and how important it is, relative to other URLs in the site) so that search engines can more intelligently crawl the site.
Web crawlers usually discover pages from links within the site and from other sites. Sitemaps supplement this data to allow crawlers that support Sitemaps to pick up all URLs in the Sitemaps and learn about those URLs using the associated metadata. Using the Sitemap protocol does not guarantee that web pages are included in search engines, but provides hints for web crawlers to do a better job of crawling your site.
Web Master SUMMARY:
The Traffic Travis online program can help you check if you have created and uploaded your sitemap properly. When you add your website to the Traffic Travis Dashboard there is an XML Sitemap indicator – when you see ‘Yes’ and a little green tick then you know your sitemap is working well. If you have read any of my articles you know I am a strong believer of proper keyword research, That this is the first big step to get started with website SEO steps. IN the beginning don’t worry about all the other things you “should be doing” and focus on 3 very important tasks:
Do your keyword research with the goal of identifying your strong and relevant keywords. Your primary keywords must have enough related secondary keywords to allow you to write supporting articles.
Research and write quality web content for your main page along with three unique supporting articles for your website.
After you have written a quality and unique article take time to write your keyword rich title tags and meta descriptions for your most important pages.
If you don’t get these 3 basic steps down, then you don’t need to worry about the rest the rest of the website SEO steps.
Now, while these are three very important elements, they are not all the pieces. There are other steps you must look at adding. Yes, there is so much more! That’s why it is important that you spend a the full-day reading and studying SEO. Most new marketers RARELY take a full day to cover every single little aspect of search engine optimization. The Google Keyword Success Steps help you prioritize your steps, and help keep your plans moving forward. .
Where Do You Stand with Website SEO?
Take a moment to think about SEO. Do you understand website SEO but maybe you failed to execute the tactical details that lead to results. Or maybe you do have several SEO steps crossed off your list but you don’t understand the big picture of how it all fits together. Reading through the Google Keyword Success Steps can help you get your website SEO steps sorted out.

As part of its continued effort to be more transparent, Google has recently published “How Google Search Works” on its Inside Search site which tells the “from algorithms to answers” story. The main “How Search Works” page tells the story in image form as you scroll down and it is separated into the three parts of Google search: Crawling and Indexing, Algorithms, and Fighting Spam.
Google explains that it navigates the web by following links from page to page and that webmasters can choose whether or not to have their sites crawled. Of course, any site owner that wants to get its content ranking in Google needs to allow the site to be crawled. As Google crawls the web it sorts the pages by their content and other factors and keeps track of all of the data in the index, which is over 100 gigabytes.
How Google Search Algorithm Works
The Google algorithm is made up of programs and formulas that are written to deliver the best results possible. The algorithm attempts to understand what a searcher is looking for based on components such as search methods, autocomplete, spelling, synonyms, query understanding, and Google instant. Relevant documents are pulled from the Index and results are ranked based on site and page quality, freshness, SafeSearch (reduces the amount of adult web pages), user context, translation, and universal search.
Another large component of delivering quality search results is fighting web spam. Spam comes in many formats (hidden text, keyword stuffing, user-generated, parked domains, thin content, unnatural links, cloaking, etc.). Google explains that the majority of spam removal is automatic but some questionable documents are reviewed by hand. Within the story page Google includes some neat links that show images of sites that have been removed lately along with action that has been taken on spam over time. When Google takes action on a site, it attempts to notify the website owners.
“How Google Search Works” is a great overview on the topic and has some great tidbits of information to look at. However, if you are looking for more detailed information, you might be better off checking out the overview page instead, which includes links to more in depth crawling and indexing, algorithm, and fighting spam content. There are videos by Matt Cutts and further info-graphics to view.
Google’s Quality Rating Guidelines
Perhaps one of the best resources within the Inside Search site is the Search Quality Rating Guidelines document. This document was updated on November 2, 2012 but was just recently published publicly. It provides an inside look at how “Raters” are supposed to look at a website to determine quality. Raters are third party people that help Google measure the quality of its search results, ranking, and search experience. The Search Quality Rating Guidelines was created by Google “especially for those individuals who need to understand better how Google search works with relevance and quality of search results”.
Every so often Google will publish a blog post, video, info-graphic etc. that gives us a better idea of how it operates. Since Google is the king of the search space, it’s best to pay attention and learn as much as possible on how Google search works in order to succeed.
The number of Google AdWords keywords you need really depends on your niche, SEO competition and the number of articles you plan to have on your site. Each article will take up to three Google AdWords keywords suggestions. So your keyword list has to be able to give you some post content ideas. Make sure it is large enough or can expand so that you won’t exhaust your original theme too quickly.
Your home page should have Google AdWords keywords that have a high search volume because even if you get listed as number one for that page you will only get around 40% of the traffic.
As we stated in a previous post, in a perfect world, your main primary Google AdWord keywords would ideally have a “exact” Global monthly key word search volume of 9,000 plus and when added to the other two Google AdWord keywords would equal 18,000 “exact” global searches or more per month for a Adsense style site. We pick secondary Google AdWords keywords suggestions with smaller Google AdWord search volume because sometimes it is easier to rank higher with terms that have a lower keyword search volume in the beginning. We need to rank and build trust with Google on a smaller scale first. That is why we optimize three maybe four Google AdWords keyword search tool suggestions per page.
If you are a affiliate site developer and are using very focused niche keywords or buyer intent keywords the total search volume will be less. 3,000 combined for three Google AdWords keywords would be acceptable.
Also we strongly suggest the Siloed Structure method which we will discuss later, where you need exact Google AdWords keywords search suggestions that have high volume, medium volume and lower volume for each silo and article. Our goal is build each silo category and to rank faster for the lower volume keywords first. These lower volume Google AdWords keywords posts will support and push our higher volume keyword pages within the site up the Google ladder. I am getting ahead of myself…more about the Siloed Structure on a later post.
Another key is to have a good mixture of global “exact match” and/or “long tail search phrases” with volumes that were researched with the Google AdWords keywords tool. The volume needed can change depending on your niche. I like to build informational Adsense niche sites for local searches first. Then when I start ranking, to build it out to global volume and add my Adsense and/or Clickbank ads. My minimum goal is 240 global visits a day to make money with Adsense. To do that, I need the Google AdWords keyword search tool to generate keywords with a combined 18,000 a month search volume.
Here is the math: 18,000 x 40% of traffic = 7,200 searches a month. Take that number and divide it by 30 days gives you 240 visits a day.
My Google AdWords Keywords Search Volume Adsense Breakdown
Low volume: 1,000 to 3,000 exact searches.
Medium volume: 3,000 to 9,000 exact searches.
High volume: 9,000 plus exact searches
From my experience I have found that for the lower volume AdWords keywords terms, it can take up to 3 months to get a good ranking – up to 6 months on medium volume and up to 1 year for high volume. White hat Google SEO optimization is time sensitive. But as you continue reading you will learn a few on-page SEO and backlink tricks to cut that time in half or less.
If you don’t have any Google AdWords keywords with high keyword search volume, go back to the “broad” search and add more keywords to your keyword list. Don’t be afraid to combine words. It is called research. Try the “phrase” and “exact” match for suggestions but don’t use the search volume for the ‘broad” or “phrase”….stay with the more accurate “exact” keyword search volume. Remember the Google AdWords Keywords Tool should be actually called the Google Keyword Traffic Estimator. The volume is not written in stone.
Google Keywords Adwords Tip: When running into keywords with larger volume but very strong competition remember the “Power of the S.” Add a “S” to your keywords and see what happens. Half of my Google Adwords keywords researches are done with a the power of the “S”
So the Question…How Many Targeted Google AdWords Keywords do I Need?
Every niche is different. Some will have a lot of high volume keywords, some only a few. You can quickly test the power of your “exact” Google keywords by doing a couple of things. First, look at the CPC dollar amount for your AdWords keywords. (more info on how to set up the CostPerClick in the Google Keyword Tool – Set Up post below) If marketers are paying a lot for Google AdWords keywords then customers are buying the product or service. Also you can check the number of ads for the keyword on a normal Google keyword search. A lot of ads mean people are making money with this word. The AdWords keyword conversion is good.
I use the monthly searches and CPC section on the Traffic Travis site also. I use this after I perform a Google keywords SEO Site Analysis with the Traffic Travis tool to see the SEO strength or weakness of the AdWord keywords, which we will discuss in another post. This wonderful, free tool will also let you know the number of backlinks that are going to the listed page.
If you are familiar with Excel you can load your information to a spread sheet. The four main categories I track for each keyword is the difficulty rating from Traffic Travis, # of backlinks, global or local monthly searches, and the CPC. I also like to put the related or simular keywords together to help increase category relevancy.
This is optional but I believe necessary. Before I commit to any keyword phrase, I do some informational double checking. Besides the Google AdWords Keywords Tool, I run my keywords through free version of Keyword Optimizer Pro and a Keyword Analysis Software / Keyword Elite 2.0. For some this may be overkill but since I started doing this my success rate and income has gone up.
When you write articles you will pick titles from these categorized keywords. This will help keep you within your siloing structure.
You must check out the SEO power of your keywords. CLICKSEO Analysis Toolsto BEGIN STEP TWO. Find out if the competition for your keywords is strong or weak.
The nice thing about using a deep link with these tips and tricks is that it is really just about a shift in your mindset.
TIP: Links that go directly to a site’s interior paged will enhance user usability because the links are not generic but strongly related to the users’ search goal.
Email signatures. We all put our homepage address on a lot of our bio type data. Any place you would put your home page URL, make a change and instead use a deep link to an internal page that will add value to your email readers. This won’t give you SEO juice, but it should send some free traffic.
WritingGuest posts. When you write a guest post don’t link to your home page. Rather, deep link to a relevant page in your site. Using a deep link will reduce the amount of bounces your getting.
Blog Comments. It is natural to leave a home page address in the website form on blogs when you leave a comment. A better trick is to leave a deep link to an internal page that is relevant to that audience. You should get traffic from this link if you wrote a intelligent comment.
Forums. Forums or anyplace you leave a comment, manually enter a URL that will drive traffic to an internal page instead of your homepage.
Social Publishing and Networking Sites. Your next tactic is to use social publishing sites and networking sites. Again deep link to internal pages on your site. When you create accounts, link to a relevant internal page. Choose a page that is relevant to that audience
Article Syndication. Anytime you develop an article with a byline for syndication, choose a relevant deep link to a page that will enhance the user experience.
TIP: You need to determine which page you want the potential customer to visit. Every page has a URL for that specific page.
Deep Linking Back Door Visitor Problems
Where is the user…When a visitor comes in through an internal page back door link give them good clues about where they are in your site. You can do this by positioning a logo and a one-click route to the home page.
Where else can the user go…Once your visitor reads the relevant information on that internal deep link page, you need to give them options to explore more of your site. Give them a list of related articles or a list of popular articles.
Where has the user been…When you have a internal back door, you need to realize that your visitors may not have followed a scripted path and seen everything you’d hope they would. Make sure you put an email newsletter subscribe box on every page. Also make sure relevant information is always available for them to click.
TIP: Deep linking is beneficial by getting users to their preferred page and information quickly.
From Your Google Keywords Research You Will Learn:
The popularity of your niche
The search volume of your product
Knowledge about your target market
Knowledge about popular brands
Names of brand names
Knowledge about the problems your customers have
What the buyer or money keywords are
This is Why the Google Keywords Research is so Important
Targeted Google keywords are very important in marketing because they show the web marketer what people want. This kind of information is important and worth a lot to a experienced web marketer. I suggest you read any article you see about key words research. Become a targeted Google Keywords Research tool expert.
Keywords provides an insight into…
Consumer Desires and Wants.
Google Keywords Research Popularity and Search Volume.
Google keyword research popularity and search volume sound a lot alike but are two different search terms. You need to know what phrases people usually type in but it is also very important to know which phrases are the most popular.
Google Keywords Research Volume Counts – Are They Accurate?
One of the most common questions regarding Google keywords research numbers is just how accurate are they. It is confusing because different search engines show different search volume counts for the same keyword phrase.
One thing you need to make sure you are doing is comparing apples to apples. Are the search volumes for broad, exact or phrase being compared to the same category of broad, exact or phrase.
Google recently put out an article in which it stated “that a quarter of daily researches on Google are made up of entirely new keywords!” This means that new Google keywords research terms are being added everyday.
The thing to keep in mind is most Keyword Research Tools base their keyword research volume data on a small sample of the actual searches that take place. Because of this formula, it is hard to know the exact number or accurate number of searches done for any keyword.
The most popular tool is the Google research engine. The Google keyword search tool is the best source for obtaining keyword research estimates. There are keyword research experts who suggest that Google does not provide accurate estimates because they want website owners to pay for their AdWords services. But like a lot of things Google does, no one knows for sure. We suggest you use the Google keywords research tool that the AdWords customers use. This is the most accurate Google research tool.
So the Google keywords research volume numbers are simply rough estimates When you do any Google keywords research for an AdSense site, treat the volume data as rough numbers when picking a set of suitable keywords. I like to have three “exact match Google keywords research words” per page. They need to have a minimum of 18,500 exact matches when I am working the USA local market. I.e. main key word with a 8,500 exact match and two secondary keywords that add up to 10,000 or more exact match.
Test keywords to see if you get any traffic…….
One way to do this is by setting up a test Google AdWords campaign for your Google keywords research terms. Run the campaign for a few days to see the actual impressions for each targeted keyword research phrase or long tail keyword. Low impression rates might just be telling you that not many people are using that Google keyword research phrase.
With a quarter of daily searches on Google being “new” keyword phrases – this means that all the new keywords may not be found by some search engines. With a AdWords campaign you can build keyword demand.
Keyword Result Demand
The “keyword search popularity” is thought of as the demand for the market. So, if we know the demand from our Google research, wouldn’t it be nice to know the supply for the market? The term “best espresso machine” has a exact reading of 3,600 monthly searches. That is the amount of searches or demand being generated. If you are not familiar with the filters for Google AdWord exact match, don’t worry as that is covered in up and coming post called Keyword Tools – Proper Use.
Keyword Result Supply
The way many people try to measure the supply is to look at the number of webpages that show up in the keyword search. If you look at the keyword phrase “best espresso machine”, on a Google keyword search it shows over 7.9 million results for that keyword phrase. This is considered a medium supply. Problem is this information doesn’t mean much. That number is the count of all the websites and pages that have that keyword listed on it somewhere. It is not the number of sites that are trying to rank for that keyword with keyword optimization. Don’t use this information!
Keyword Demand and Supply
On-line marketers are always looking for profitable niche markets using Keyword Demand and Supply. A profitable niche market if…………………
Demand: A particular keyword phrase has high Google keyword searchvolume popularity and high CPC dollar volume. Make sure your Google Adwords search tool is set on the “exact” word search setting. If it has a high cost per click (CPC) then keyword has high demand.
Supply: Actually, you don’t care about the number of sites or pages that have that keyword in their content somewhere. What we care about is, can we get on the first page and rank in the top five. You will learn to examine the top 10 sites ranking for our primary keyword. We won’t go into that right yet. Keep studying this information to see how we check this out using a free SEO Analysis tool.
Caution:Check the keyword phrase for AdWords CPC. You need to use common sense and find the keywords that marketers are willing to pay for. The more they pay, the more they are making.
In most niches there are some low quality sites or sites that have inadequate or low SEO.There is no software that I know of that can read and judge the quality of a site’s content but there is a very good one for rating the SEO strength of a site which we go through later. The stronger SEO sites are targeting the keyword and the weaker SEO sites may just have a ranking page which you can knock off the first page. As we progress we will discuss a free software that performs a website SEO analysis.
Summary:
As part of good a Google keyword research and development for your niche, you need to perform the right type Google keywords research. Once you know the search volume and the AdWords profitability, then check the competition for SEO strength.
I recently received a newsletter from Mark at Traffic Travis on testing your Google keyword research that I thought was worth sharing with you. This exact same thing that Mark talks about has happened to me. Since then I have used this Google AdWords keyword research testing trick.

Alternative Sources for Testing Google Keyword Research
Hi John,
Sometimes it can take a long time to get your site ranking in the search engines, especially if you are going after terms that are more competitive.
Imagine finally getting into the top 3 results…and… nothing.
That search term you worked so hard on, and spent so much time building links for turns out to be a complete dud!
This happens more often than you think.
That is why smart marketers use paid ads to test their Google keyword research first, before investing their time and effort.
This week’s newsletter discusses 5 different sources of paid traffic. Even if you don’t want to get into PPC right now, it’s might be worth ‘testing the waters’ every now and again. To read more on testing your Google keyword research…..
SEO Experts agree when you use a online keyword tool to research a keyword phrase to market your business, and you pick the wrong phrase – you won’t make as much money!
Proper Use of the Adwords Online Keyword Tool
As a SEO Keyword Expert, I see lot of sites that are doomed in the beginning because the developer did an improper keyword research with a online keyword tool.
You must use or know the proper filter settings on any online keyword tool that you are using to gather data. Some are preset but make sure you know how it is set before you use the information.
Can you LOSE money marketing yourself with the wrong Google keywords?
Losing money would be an virtual certainty if a marketer chose a generic or broad keyword. The World Wide Web has changed. Most beginners are starting out using the AdWords free online keyword tool. This is not a bad thing. But the beginner needs to make sure they have online keyword tool is set on the “exact match setting” to get a targeted Google keyword search. With the continued growth and competition on the Internet, marketer’s need to focus on exact, precise keyword terms.
Getting to Know the Google Online Keyword Tool “Match Filters”
First, make sure you have registered with the AdWords free keyword tool. It is very easy so I am not going to go into it here. There are three keyword match settings you need to be concerned with: “broad”, “exact” and “phrase”. We will use examples to discuss the differences.
Broad Match
A generic “broad match” online keyword tool term would be “shoes”. By using this broad match term, your competition would be huge when it comes to ranking for this term. Under this broad keyword you will have terms like horse shoes, brake shoes, football shoes, track shoes, running shoes, etc. This term is just too broad or generic to rank well.
RULE ONE: It is difficult to have a high Google ranking, when using a “broad match” key word tool term. “Exact Match” only!
Using the [Exact Match] online keyword tool setting.
Clicking the “exact match” when doing a online keyword tool research will force you to focus or target your strongest niche. Focusing and grouping is a must in today’s market. There are too many sites out there to compete against, you must…focus…focus…target…target with your online keyword tool.
Setting up the [Exact Match] local search volume
If you have never used the AdWords Google free keyword tools match type setting, look on the left side for “match types” and de-click “broad” and click [exact]. Many times a popup page from Google is covering the match types. Look hard and you will see the top of it. Click to get rid of pop up page.
Looking at the shoes example, you would have more success on Google by trying to rank for a more targeted keyword niche such as shoe manufacture, shoe repair, ballerina shoes, hiking shoes, running shoes or therapeutic shoes depending on your niche than the broad term “shoes”
If your website shows up every time someone searches for any of the things that you don’t sell, chances are pretty good that they are going to click on your website and click right off. Google now tracks the bounce rate which can work against you if the rate is too high.
For retailers and other businesses, the best SEO Google advice would be, “learn how to use the free AdWords online keyword tool to choose the right Google keywords for your actual business, product or niche and not just for high search traffic.”
Set Proper Filter Settings for the Most Useful Information
For accurate keyword analysis you need to set the proper filter settingsfor the online keyword tool. Your SEO Google and site marketing will be easier if you get the right keywords right away from the online keyword tool. Don’t be in a big hurry here. Life will be easier later if you take your time to find unique niche keywords. We will go into further detail on the Google online keyword tool in our next post.
You need to find “targeted exact keywords” or “long tail key word phrases” to market your site. Long tail phrases have a minimum of three terms in it.
“Phrase Match”
When looking at the results of your online keyword tool research, you need to think of how real customers are thinking when they are doing a keyword search.
They aren’t going to just type “shoes” at all. This search would have way too many results for them. Rather, they’re going to type in something specific like “trail running shoes” or “football shoes”. They are trying to fill a need they have with the search phrase they choose. These phrases are the targeted or long tail keywords you will be looking for. Maybe they will even type in buyer intent keywords such as ”buy football shoes” or “buy nike football shoes”
You need to try to take a closer look at the type of people who will be coming to your store or site. Look at all of the different ways or keywords they might use to look for your product on the search engines. And that means maybe forgetting one-word or two-word keywords all together.
You can explore the “phrase match” section of the keyword tools. If you do, make sure you use the “exact match” setting search volume as it is more accurate than the phrase match for most keyword tools.
The longer the phrase the searcher types into their online keyword tool the closer they are getting to actually buying or solving a problem. These are also known as “long tail” or “buyer keywords.” What I like to call the “MONEY WORDS” We will discuss these important keywords in upcoming posts.
There are lots of different ways that people tend to refer to the same thing. If you’re dealing in running shoes, people can search for “running gear”, “runners”, “nikes”, “sneakers“ or any number of other words.
No one site can be everything to everyone. You need to use your online keyword tools to find the best words for your purpose or niche. The Google Adwords free keyword tool is a multi-all in one power tool if set up-right. This being said I always double check the selected keyword volume against other keyword tools. I have found the volume on the Google Adwords online keyword tool is not always accurate and the keyword listing is missing recent keywords.
I like to use as my double check Keyword Optimizer Pro free version and a pay for tool called Keyword Elite 2.0When I combine the results from these tools with Google’s online keyword tool, I get a larger, unique list of keywords. I also use the Free Version of Traffic Travisas a double check but mainly, I use this as my competition strength checker.
Oh, and don’t forget that lots of people can end up spelling words
incorrectly. Just because people like to spell them as “footwares”,” nikeys” or “sneekars”, doesn’t mean you don’t want to do business with them.
RULE TWO: Group similar keywords into categories. All the keywords need to be relevant to the category it is grouped in. Also group by search volume–high to low.
For each keyword that you actually are seriously considering, you should type them into the normal keyword tools search engine yourself to see what kind of results come up. Check out the competing sites with a quick visual look. Open the sites up and look at page titles for more keyword ideas. Remember you are always doing keyword research.
Here is a introductory video for Google Keyword Tools Adwords Search. I strongly suggest you review this video…
Later on we will use the URL search keyword tools that Traffic Travis supplies to find out what keywords your competition is using, and take a hint from them.
Well, most people believe search engine optimization (SEO) is the steps to ranking number one on the Google Keyword Research Tool Engine. Easy to say but harder to do!.
What are the SEO Factors?
Determine your targeted market and their needs. This includes learning about your customers and the competition. Once that is done you need to determine if you can be the “authority site” for the niche. This includes using a larger group of keywords such as this interesting group: “Google keywords”, “Google keywords tool”, “keywords Google”, “Google keywords tools”, “Google key words”, “Googlekeywords”, “Google Adwords keywords tool and “Google search keywords.” These keywords would be part of your targeted group. They would be included in your Google keyword research tool analysis list for your niche. (notice the common words that are in each.)
Perform SEO to get your website to rank as high as possible for the Google keywords your targeted market you are using. This includes doing on-page and off-page optimization. (quality backlinking)
Tracking and tweaking your site and adjusting the SEO Strategy as needed.SEO analysis is on-going and includes the continual use of the Google Keyword Research Tool.
Proper SEO is time consuming in the beginning. Unless you have lots of time, your SEO development may not always be free. Some very effective SEO software and tools will cost you money. I am not saying you have to use them but they are time savers and will get you to the top of Google Keyword Search Tool that much faster. For you web developers that are on a shoe string budget see our resource area on the home page for a free download of a great Free Search Engine Optimization Guide.
The SEO Google Success Steps is a SEO Strategy for achieving top rankings. But a one size fits all approach does not work for SEO. The general principles will apply but you will need to do some SEO analysis and make your own gut decisions. Each step has it’s own SEO benefit.
Every website will have different goals and will have different competitive keywords they have found on the Google keyword research tool. Your market and Google keywords might be very competitive or not, depending on your niche. And your willingness to spend money or put in the time and effort may be determined by your niche.
Your site’s navigation design and ease of finding the answer is as important as website content. Site longevity and building customer loyalty must be a major concern for any business.

The main goal of any SEO optimization and keyword research is to improve the site so that it stays within the website theme developed by targeted keywords not just the a bunch of random listed keywords.
Fact: Search engines and users have a hard time with sites that are just a bunch of pages that are haphazardly linked together.
Fact: Search engines and users have a hard time with sites that are not a central theme website for targeted keywords.
Fact: Search engines prefer a well organized site built around the website theme and keywords. Look at Wikipedia.
A good site structure must clarify the theme website and relevancy of keywords. The best site structure for a keyword matched website theme is a siloed structure.
Silo Structure Overview
The Siloed Website Structure Method has to do with the website structure and a internal organized linking strategy. This is what defines siloed. A siloed structure promotes the building of your website structure within highly SEO Google optimized narrow blocks of site content, grouped into site categories known as silos. Organized Linking
The best ranked websites are similar to a book. Clear title, table of content, relevant content, references and supporting footnotes. Many websites suffer from poor ranking because they do not have a good site structure and organized linking strategy.
Websites often suffer with a poor ranking because they do not relate well, content and keyword wise, to the theme of the site.
Developing Theme for Website
Determine the website theme. Look at your keywords for the home and category pages. They should be working together to develop and support the main website theme.
Use a linking strategy that reinforces the sites theme. Related keyword articles working to add support to important pages via links.
Keep related content and material within the proper silos. This takes some practice. Each silo is like a mini-site. You have your home page.Your secondary main page is a category page under the home page and you support them with relevant keyword posts for the niche.

I want to share this great article I came across on the fundamentals of SEO link building. When it comes to back link building you should read every article you see out there.
If there is a part of search engine optimization that is important (SEO) with today’s net, it is SEO link building. Professionals in search engine optimization know that the secret of most of the sites that have high rankings on Google and other search engines, is that they have many credible websites linking to them. They understand SEO link building.
When the search engine crawls, it looks at many factors. The use of keywords within the text in your pages along with the contents of your website’s meta tags. These two areas are important and you need to pay attention to them. Now, Google has let us know that getting high quality links to a site is the most important key and has a lot to do where you appear in the search engine result page. This is because search engines believe that if other sites are linking to yours, it must mean that your site has some relevant, useful information for the searcher. If you are familiar with Penguin and Panda then you understand that relevant information is what Google’s goal has always been for the searchers.
How do you do proper SEO link building for your website
It is simple right…..just create great content and others will link to it. If you have written content for a while, you know that getting links this way is not all that easy. But writing quality content is actually the best and possibly the only, acceptable method for SEO link building. But let’s be realistic, developing and writing great content requires lots of time and effort. And it takes time before other website owners start discovering your content and linking to it, if at all.
This common difficulty has kept website owners on the hunt, looking at ways of getting the desired, needed links. Most have found there are two approaches that they can use:
How to Get High Quality Backlinks
They can choose to use, do it yourself SEO link building
They can pay someone else to do it for you.
Let’s start by looking at how you can do SEO link building yourself. There are many ways of doing this, more than we can discuss in this one article. The most popular methods include article marketing, blog marketing, social bookmarking, use of directories and posting in forums. Sound familiar?
The basic idea behind the above methods is that you are creating content, writing comments or posts that contain relevant information about your website and posting them in different venues. Once posted, some form of an anchor text will link to a relevant page on site. Two things can happen here. One, gets you a little added traffic when someone follows the link. Two, gets you a backlink to your site which is your goal. In the past, these methods were good but with the search engines we have, many just do not work as well. As search engine algorithms change, many experts feel the search engine will stop considering many of these SEO link building methods as being powerful enough to influence rank.
Having discovered how important quality back links are to websites rankings, there are many companies that sell SEO link building services. This segment of the market continues to grow because the experts know that everyone will need quality backlinks.
You can use the services of these companies in your SEO link building without much problem, well unless you are like me, and have trouble with the amount they charge.
SEO Link Building Companies Offer:
Diversity of backlinks, with anchor text variation and deep link building. Why? Because they know it is the key to staying on Google’s good side.
Offering for a fee, fresh, highly relevant content that is added to your site on a regular basis. Why? Google demands it. If you don’t have this, then it’s going to be tough for your site to rank.
Track On-Site SEO - Know which pages on your site are fully optimized, and which pages need improvement.
Track Off Site SEO - Monitor how many backlinks each URLs has, and check the growth as they run your SEO campaign.
To be a successful website developer you need to use the trusted service of LinkVana. This service builds powerful link wheels around your site using high PR sites in the wheels. The links that are created in the wheels are permanent back links to your site!
Another great option is SEnuke X which is an automated tool that helps your build backlinks on autopilot.
In conclusion, it is clear that SEO link building in 2013 and beyond calls for a creative approach. There is also no doubt that great content on your website is crucial if you are to get merit based links, which Google and other major search engines believe to be most credible.

Penguin was designed to targeted over-optimized websites, such those that had too much keyword-based anchor text — especially from low-quality sites. It also further targeted sites involved in link building schemes and issued a Google Penguin penalty for the guilty sites.
Below are some tips to make sure what you are doing with your site, will avoid the most common Google penguin penalty.
1. Mix Up Your Anchor Text Terms
This is the most common mistake which results in a Google Penguin penalty. When getting or building links to your sites pages, make sure you do NOT over use the same anchor text terms in your links. Improper anchor text is for sure a Google Penguin penalty waiting to happen. I only use the same anchor text about 10% of the time. Keep track of the what you are using. The rest of the time use variations and sometimes just the URL is fine. I even toss in a plain old ”click to learn more” or “click here.”
I know from experience, failure to vary anchor text will result in a Google Penguin penalty for sure.
2. Pay Attention to Your User Numbers
You must install Google Analytics or another analytic program so that you can track your “user numbers”. You can’t run a website and expect to make good money from it developing SEO, if you don’t know your user numbers.
To lower the possibility of a Google Penguin penalty, there are two important numbers you need to pay attention to:
Bounce rate: Your goal is to get this DOWN as low as you can, above 62% is not good! If your bounce rate is high find reasons for them to stay on the site. Relevant content, graphics or relevant keyword Youtube videos. Even if they are not your own.
Page views: Strive to get this up as high as possible, above 2 is a must. You need people to click around on your site and read more pages. I am constantly working on this with my all sites and my goal is to average page views up above 4. Make sure you are always giving your visitors a clear path on where to go. Tell them to click your links by using click here, etc.
Google will issue a Penguin penalty if your bounce rate and page views are bad. Means your site is not relevant to the searchers need.
3. Build a Community
Again you need to work on becoming an authority site”. Commenting on blogs and forums will help with backlinks but will also get you known better. Social sites are a great way to build a community. I can tell you from experience, that if you build a community following, your site will do better with your SEO.
A strong community following, will increase user number in most cases. Your site will start to get shared on the social networks and collect natural links.
4. Add Fresh Content on Regular Bases
It is simple, all high quality sites have new content added to them on a regular basis. I try to add 4 articles to my sites every month. The content you add should be shared with social activity as fast as possible. For example when I add a new blog post to my blog, it gets shared on Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest right away.
Work on these four important areas to insure you do not get a Google Penguin penalty and rank better.
Natural link building, natural link building, natural link building……okay do you get what I am trying to say. Natural looking links are a big key to link building.
Google is penalizing websites that have unnatural links.
Natural Anchor Text is One of the Keys to Link Building – One thing Penguin is looking for is unnatural anchor text. To have anchor text that is natural looking, you have to vary your text. Use the actual keywords you are targeting no more than 50% of the time. Vary your link building text by using your “domain name”, more “long tail keywords”, longer sentences with your keyword in it, just general terms such as “read more” or “click here”. I think you get the idea.
Make a list………
I make up a quick check off list of anchor text that I what to use on a site. I list my keywords then under the keywords I put other varied terms. This is a reminder to me to vary my anchor text when link building.
Link Building Tips Using Anchor Text
Find High Quality Links - of course they are harder to get but worth so much more. Make sure your links a re relevant to your site. We discuss this later on.
Watch the Outbound Links - when I see a page with a lot of outbound links. I stay away. The page has to share the “link juice” with all those other links. How much juice are you getting from them?
The Number of Links Needed – a simple way to put it, you will need more links than the top site on the page to knock them out. This is not always the case. I have moved ahead of a site with a lot more links. I assumed my SEO was better. Just remember that sites will be making strong efforts to retake the lead. Keep link building.
Link to different pages - If you are writing articles, making comments and joining in forum discussions then you can control your link building. Links coming into your site need to go to different pages, not just your home page. See out post on ‘deep linking’
Another Area is the Link Mix - look for different areas to get your links from. Comments, forums, social media, article writing, link partners, your own site, can all add link juice if done naturally.
Check Your Links – It is important to make sure your links are found by Google. Many marketers believe that as soon as they create a link, Google will find it. Google’s bots don’t get to every site every day. To check out if your link building article has been discovered, make sure you check out the URL the publisher sends you for the article. If you don’t see it after a couple of days, Google may not have discovered it yet. You can use a free service to ping it. Contact the publisher.
Tip: Google checks out the social sites like Facebook everyday.
Don’t Sweat the “no follow” Links - search engines normally don’t share the juice from the “no follow” style of links. This is okay. Again we are working on looking natural. You need some no follow links to look natural for Google. The most common no follow link are comments on sites. With comments you might not get the juice but you can get some free traffic if you make a quality comment. So read the article, make a good comment and have your url in your signature.
Deep Linking - a good way to have Google see your links as natural is to use deep links. If you have heard or use deep linking make sure you check out some articles on the subject.
Hello, I have some exiting news on how to improve Google page ranking.
I am a strong follower and promoter of Brad Callen’s and his SEO philosophies. Through the years I have made contact with many marketers including Brad. We are always sharing ideas and thoughts. Of course, one area that we all have worked on is a new SEO program to improve Google page ranking that Google will love. Life would be easier if Google would just tell us what they want. Problem is there are always spammers out there that take advantage. So we have to guess or assume on what some of the steps are needed to improve Google page ranking.
Below is an email I received from Brad about some of the work his research group have been working on when it comes to improving your Google page ranking.
_______________
Hi John,
How are you today? I enjoyed your thoughts on Google page ranking and keyword research the other day when we talked. As I mentioned at that time, I was going to email my business friends and associates today. The reason is that I am very excited because it marks the beginning of a new era in the world of SEO. I can’t even begin to explain just how excited I am about what I’m going to be telling you about in this email.
Alright, as you know, the SEO world has been turned upside down for the past roughly, 1.5 years, since Google implemented their Panda and Penguin updates.
Almost all the known methods to improve Google page ranking for your site on Google not only stopped working well, but actually hurt your Google page ranking.
John, I am not talking about super spammy methods of getting sites and pages ranked high in Google. We’re talking about foundational strategies that have worked for a decade to improve Google page ranking, without fail.
Anyway… The past 1.5 years have been full of all types of “new” SEO services that LOVE using the words “Penguin and Panda friendly” on their sales pages… when in reality, you and I both know they’re not. People end up buying them anyway, because… well, there just wasn’t anything out there that’s proven to work really well for the past 1.5 years to improve Google page ranking.
Sure, some methods work fairly well, when combined with other methods, but overall, there was no longer that one “magic bullet” like there always had been in years past.
I know so many people that simply gave up on SEO and trying to improve Google page ranking. Many ended up losing their online business, and everything they’d worked so hard for, for so many years.
OK, enough of the depressing talk.
John, I want to share with you something that we’ve been working on and testing for a LONG time and is something that I can say, without a shadow of doubt, is as close as you can get to the “magic bullet” that used to exist prior to the Penguin and Panda updates to improve Google page ranking.
As you know we’ve tested this on hundreds of our own websites, and also have given access to several others with tens of websites. It’s tested and it’s 100% proven to work.
For example, one of those test clients, who’s identity will remain private, (Keeping data private has become very important in SEO these days. Google is sneaky) did the following to rank #1 in Google for her keywords:
- Created a web page with 2.5% keyword density for their target keyword.
- Put it into our system and didn’t use their main keyword in ANY links.
- ONE WEEK later, ranked at the top of Google!
Yes, I said, 1 week later. And the only other link pointing to their site,
was from 1- Page Rank 0 website!
Basically, what I’m saying is, all she did was some basic on page optimization,
put her site into our system designed to improve Google page ranking, and that’s it!
Can I guarantee this will happen every time? No, I obviously can’t guarantee
results like this, but what I can say is that we’ve seen these kinds of crazy
ranking increases on 1000′s of our own test websites. It is very common.
Alright, this email is already getting pretty lengthy, so I’ll wrap things up for now.
I mainly wanted to let you in on what I believe to be the most exciting
development in the SEO world for quite some time (definitely the last 2 years).
Tomorrow I will be sending you an email containing a link where you can actually see the exact system to improve Google page ranking, we have created.
John, this is what all of us SEO’s have been waiting to be developed, post Panda and Penguin, and I’m so excited to be able to share this access to it with you tomorrow.
In that email, you’ll be able to see exactly what we’re doing, and how you can get a piece of the action.
As I checked into the new Google ranking system I realized that it is something I read about a while back but did not follow it completely. Brad’s group has perfected it.
It is using your written articles posted in outside blogging networks linking to your site pages, which I have always used and promoted. I use Blogging Underground to post articles and do a concept called deep linking.
Here is where Brad’s team concept changes……………..
It is about developing a buffer site. This site does exactly what it sounds like. It buffers articles with your anchor text before it gets to the main site. The buffer site has limited off-page optimization performed on it which keeps it low keyed in Google’s eye.
In a nut shell, you develop your buffer article with a link to a page on your main site. Then write three different articles on three different sites that use keyword anchor text to link your articles to the buffer page.
Below I have provided you with a link explaining this concept on how to improve Google page ranking. Watch the video a couple of times to make sure you understand the idea. Then if you use article marketing try this concept from SEO Buffer.
Traffic Travis is a Website SEO Analysis tool designed to help online businesses boost their website traffic.
It is a free SEO tool for search engine optimization (seo website analysis), pay-per-click monitoring and general market research features such as a keyword tool. I use it sometimes as one of my double checks for the Google Adwords Search tool results.
One of the biggest assets of Traffic Travis is the ability to rate the SEO strength of your site or the competition’s site for your keywords.
Make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this page to learn how to use the website SEO analysis section
How You Can Benefit from Traffic Travis:
Provides a Website SEO Analysis tool which examines the important on-page SEO parts of your site page and returns an “free Google website SEO analysis score” for the page, as well as suggestions for improving the page from an website SEO analysis perspective.
Provides a simple, free Google website SEO analysis of the competitor’s SEO performance of their site. This website SEO analysis gives you a idea on how hard it will be to rank on the first page for your Google keywords.
Shows where your site is ranking in the search engines for your important keywords, so you can see at a glance rather than crawling through pages of search engine listings. Traffic Travis will even keep track of your previous positions so you can see whether your site is moving up or down over time.
See who is linking to you. Traffic Travis finds your backlinks and displays all sorts of interesting information about the sites that are linking to you, including the anchor text of the link. Backlinks are a strong element of a Website SEO Analysis.
Traffic Travis then gives you some nice summaries so you can see all the important information at a glance. This is really useful for researching your competitors’ sites as well… by looking at their anchor text (and the anchor text summary) you can see where they’re focusing their backlink efforts.
All the Google website SEO analysis and keyword tools are found in the one piece of software, so it’s no longer necessary to find and visit a multitude of SEO websites to analyze your website.
Traffic Travis Free Version is a good place for you to start your Website SEO Analysis. It is not as complete as the pro version which means it has some limits on the project information.
Professional Version – More than a Website SEO Analysis for the Professional
The Professional Version of Traffic Travis offers a lot more power if you are looking at doing website development full-time. I started out with the Free Version and within a month I could see the value of the Pro Version.
Once you have your copy of Traffic Travis, click on SEO tab. Then click competition for the Website SEO Analysis. (I suggest you watch the tutorial and become familiar with Traffic Travis.) When you are ready, type in your higher volume exact match Google keywords into the search space. (I like to type in five at a time) Make sure you are set to the Google search engine. CLICK FETCH. Traffic Travis will analyze the websites using those Google keywords and rate the difficulty of your chances of breaking onto the first page for that keyword. Make notation of the Google keywords with its Traffic Travis “difficulty” rating on your paper list or excel spreadsheet. Click the report button and make a notation of the top 5 web addresses for each main Google keyword. You may want to analyze these sites later. (great way to find other keywords to use) Once you have ran the SEO website analysis and recorded the ratings, you will need to examine the Google keywords list and find the words that are rated “Relatively Easy.”
Examine your list of keywords that you ran through the Website SEO Analysis tool. At first, you want to look at only the keywords with a “Relatively Easy” rating. Make yourself a shorter list with the primary higher volume keywords first. Record the exact search volume and CPC from AdWords. You need to check out the exact keywords with a “Relatively Easy” rating for the possibility of using one of them as our exact targeted keyword URL, if they are still available.
Think about it! What could be better than having a person do a Google keywords search and the keyword phrase is your URL. How do you think you would rank? Just make sure you use the exact Google keywords the way it was entered by searchers.
You also want to look at some of the higher volume “Relatively Easy” rating keywords for use as page titles for your content. Remember the shopping list, well this is what the people doing the searches on the Internet are looking for. You have the opportunity to supply their need with your content and products. These are targeted keywords. Supply the information they are looking for and SEO optimize your pages for that keyword info.
Google Keywords Tip: Before I decide which Google keywords to use for a URL (article coming up) I go to the Google search engine and do a normal search with each keyword that the Website SEO Analysis gave a rating of “Relativity Easy”. I want to see if there is paid advertising for that keyword. Again, I have learned to double check Google Adwords CPC. If people are actually paying for a Google keywords then it is telling me it is a valuable Google keyword. I make note of how many ads for each keyword.
You have built your list of targeted keywords or phrases.
You have recorded search volume and CPC
You have run the primary keywords through the Traffic Travis free Google Website SEO Analysis looking for “relatively easy” ratings
Made a list of the best 2 or 3 phrases to use as a URL with a bigger list of lower search volume, relatively rated keywords for articles.
Google SEO Website Analysis Tip: Depending on your niche you may not found keywords with higher search volume and a relatively easy rating. You may have to go with medium difficulty rating for your primary keywords.
